Doune Castle features a 100ft gatehouse which offers stunning views of the surrounding landscape. The interior of the castle is remarkably intact with a great hall, kitchen and servery area preserved for viewing. In the castle grounds there is an exciting nature trail to discover.
Doune Castle was also used as a location for Monty Python And The Holy Grail (1975) as the place where Arthur begins his quest for the Holy Grail!
